day 28 ~ 365: no collections on Friday 29th

Well I was told the driver and passengers werent badly hurt and the driver was very lucky!
This happened just outside our estate, on the main road around lunchtime today, not sure how the refuge lorry got from the right side of the road to its side in a local field (damaging old stone walling in its wake) however I am sure the local press will reveal all maybe within the next week.
I chose this particular capture as nothing really happens in our village but when it does we all go out for a nosey (its more exciting than Emmerdale)
watch this space for more information via the media/press which I hope to get within the next week!

the end of the line
Originally uploaded by Angie … iambehindthelens.wordpress.com
There has been talk that this part of the Churnet Valley line will be extended within the next 5 to 10 years back towards Leek and the other line that goes towards stoke will also be opened, with a car park at stoke station for park and ride visitors/tourists/commuters etc. I am still unsure what will happen in the next 5 to 10 years here, at present we only have one steam or diesel train running for 80% of the year on weekends and the odd weekday where they have special train trips running, the tranquil countryside is adored by us and the smell of the steam from the grande old steam engines is well I love it.
